Bob Kanel

Bob Kanel is a Technology Manager for Simulation Solutions at ABB, with extensive experience in automation engineering and project management. Between 1997 and 2011, they served as a Consulting Automation Engineer at Air Cryo, Inc., where they engineered control systems for Air Separation Units using ABB’s System 800xA. Prior to this, Kanel was the Chief Operating Officer at Renewable Algal Energy, LLC in 2013, designing and implementing an automated process control strategy for algae processing. They have also held various roles at ABB, contributing to the global launch of the System 800xA control system and managing projects that improved product offerings. Kanel is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at The University of Akron.
