Cathy Yao Chen

Cathy Yao Chen is currently the Electrification Business Research Manager at ABB, where they focus on technology strategy and leadership. They previously served as a National Distinguished Expert at the National Institute of Clean-and-Low-Carbon Energy and held various roles at ABB from 2011 to 2019, including Department Manager for Energy Conversion and Global Tech Area Owner for Multiphysics. Cathy earned a PhD in Power System Automation and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Beijing Jiaotong University, and is pursuing an MBA at Edinburgh Business School.
