Daniel Guptail is an experienced engineering and technology leader currently serving as Vice President of Research & Development/Technology at ABB since September 2020. Previously, Daniel held the role of Global Engineering Director at Thermo King of Ingersoll Rand from August 2017 to September 2020, where leadership of Global Engineering Teams for marine, rail, and air transport refrigeration products was a key responsibility. Prior experience includes positions such as Global Director of Product Engineering and various management roles at Harsco Rail from May 2012 to July 2017, Lead Engineer/Technologist at GE Power & Water, and engineering management and development roles at Cooper Power Systems and Snap-on Tools. Daniel began a career in engineering as a Design Engineer at Jacobsen, A Textron Company, following a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University.
