Michael Wood is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in research and development within the electrical equipment sector. Currently serving as the R&D Center Site Leader at ABB, responsibilities include managing the Bloomfield R&D facility and overseeing safety and infrastructure improvements while also leading technology development strategies as R&D Competence Center Manager for North America. Previously, at GE Power, Michael held various senior positions, culminating as Senior Engineering Manager where leadership was provided to a global team for the design and improvement of electrical distribution components. Michael holds both a Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
