Nirmala Devi

Nirmala Devi is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in corporate and public affairs. Currently serving as the Communications Lead for Asia at ABB since March 2008, Nirmala oversees the implementation of communication initiatives that align with global priorities for ABB's Motion business. Previously held the role of Head of Corporate Communications at ABB Malaysia, where leadership in both internal and external communications was provided. Prior experience includes serving as Manager of Public Affairs at OPTIMAL Group, where Nirmala managed corporate branding, crisis communication strategies, and CSR initiatives. Earlier roles at BASF Petronas Chemicals Sdn Bhd and AmBank Group involved strategic communication planning, media relations, and event coordination. Nirmala holds a degree from University Malaya.
