Alex Benison has extensive experience in data science, analytics, and medical affairs within the medical device industry. As the Director of Global Data Science & Analytics at Abbott from October 2017 to May 2022, Alex supported business priorities through a comprehensive data strategy focusing on real-world evidence and strategic research partnerships. Previous roles include Associate Director of Global Medical Affairs for Neuromodulation and Global Medical Science Advisor at Abbott, responsible for strategy development and medical marketing initiatives. Prior to Abbott, Alex worked at St. Jude Medical, excelling in therapy development specialist and territory manager positions focused on spinal cord stimulation sales and education. Additionally, Alex has a strong research background from the University of Colorado Boulder, holding dual PhDs in Psychology and Neuroscience, with significant contributions in behavioral and electrophysiological research.
