Alex Carterson

Alex Carterson is currently the DVP of Medical, Scientific & Clinical Affairs and HEOR at Abbott. They have previously held roles as Global Medical Director and President at Versiti Blood Center of Illinois, as well as Medical Director. Alex's academic background includes a Doctor of Medicine from Tulane University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Microbiology and Immunology from the same institution. They also completed several fellowships at Harvard Medical School, focusing on Transfusion Medicine, Hematopathology, and a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
