Ali Tivay

Ali Tivay, PhD, is currently a Staff Engineer at Abbott, focusing on algorithms for health. They completed their PhD in Biomedical Algorithms at the University of Maryland College Park, where they served as a Research Assistant from 2017 to 2022, designing innovative learning and decision algorithms for biomedical applications. They also worked as a Guest Researcher at the FDA from 2021 to 2022, developing testing systems for patient monitoring algorithms. Ali holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology.
