Anna Snell

Anna Snell, Ph.D., serves as the R&D Director at Abbott, managing a team of up to 25 engineers and technicians in clinical and systems engineering functions focused on structural heart devices since March 2012. Previous roles include Senior R&D Manager and Research & Development Manager, where Anna led initiatives across multiple product portfolios, driving innovations in device development and testing. Prior experiences include clinical systems engineering at St. Jude Medical, where Anna contributed significantly to cardiac pacing products, and research internships at Abbott Vascular and Isis Pharmaceuticals. Anna holds a Ph.D. in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from UC San Diego and has received several accolades for engineering leadership, including two R&D engineering leadership awards and participation in the Emerging Leaders Program.
