Benjamin Bauchwitz

Benjamin Bauchwitz is a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Abbott Diabetes Care, where they focus on human-facing challenges in AI and machine learning. They previously served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Duke University, publishing research on image segmentation quality assessment and discovering vulnerabilities in autonomous vehicle perception systems. Additionally, Benjamin held positions as a Translation and Commercialization Fellow and Visiting Researcher, contributing to technology assessments and autonomous vehicle safety studies. They are also set to be an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke University's Pratt School of Engineering, teaching a course on Human Factors in Cybersecurity. Benjamin holds both a Master’s and a Doctorate in Computer Science from Duke University and a Bachelor’s degree in Brain and Cognitive Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
