Cher Zhang

Cher (Xuexiang) Zhang is a Senior Research Scientist at Abbott Diabetes Care, having begun this role in 2024. Previously, they held positions as a Staff Scientist at UCLA and a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles, where they earned a PhD. Cher's background includes a Bachelor's degree in Science and a Master's degree from Cornell University, along with experience as a Junior Research Fellow at the Baruch S. Blumberg Institute and as President & Cofounder of Locagen Therapeutics. They also served as an Associate Scientist/Engineer at Bio-Rad Laboratories and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Cornell.
