Dean Andersen

Dean Andersen is an experienced engineering professional specializing in the development of medical devices, with a strong focus on ultra-low power ASIC technology. Currently serving as a Research Fellow and Director of Hardware Engineering at Abbott since July 2015, Dean oversees the development of implantable medical products. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Engineering Manager at NeuroPace, where responsibilities involved the architecture and design of mixed-signal ASICs for deep brain stimulation, Director of Electrical Engineering at InCube Labs, and Senior Principal Engineer at St. Jude Medical, where design and implementation of integrated circuits and PCB-based circuitry for medical devices were key tasks. Dean began the career as an Electrical Engineer at Hereaus Surgical, providing test engineering support. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from San José State University and Stanford University, respectively.
