Derek Sweeney

Derek Sweeney is an experienced Engineering Team Lead with a strong background in the computer hardware and medical device industries. They have held various roles, including Customer Support Engineer at Thermo VG Scientific and Process Team Lead at Abbott, where they managed tool maintenance and operations in medical device manufacturing. With over a decade of experience at Seagate Technology as a Staff Engineer, Derek coordinated new device builds and optimized processes in Lithography and Metrology. They also earned a BSc in Physical Optoelectronics from the University of Essex and a Diploma in Physics and Photonics from the Institute of Technology, Carlow.
