Eric Chen

Eric Chen is the Director of Regulatory Affairs at Abbott, bringing over 20 years of experience in the medical device industry with a specialization in cardiovascular and neuromodulation devices. They have served in significant roles, including at the FDA, where they led efforts in mechanical circulatory support devices and humanitarian use device programs. Chen has authored over 20 publications and is noted for their leadership in developing pediatric devices and addressing rare diseases. A graduate of The Johns Hopkins University and the University of Pittsburgh, they completed the “Leadership for a Democratic Society Program” at the Federal Executive Institute, enhancing their leadership capabilities for senior roles in government.
