Fernando Mateus

Fernando Mateus is currently the SVP of International Nutrition at Abbott.

Prior to joining Abbott in May of 2018, Fernando Mateus served as the CEO of Exeltis USA from July 2016 to April 2018. Prior to that, they were the Region Head for MENA at Sandoz from June 2010 to May 2016, and before that they were the General Manager at Sandoz Portugal from January 2006 to July 2010.

Fernando Mateus began their career in 2005 as the International Product Manager at Mepha.

Fernando Mateus has over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Fernando is an expert in product launches, go-to-market strategies, and commercialization.

Fernando Mateus reports to Robert B. Ford, President & CEO. They are on a team with Melissa Brotz - Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Jared L. Watkin - SVP, Diabetes Care, and Hubert L. Allen - EVP, General Counsel & Secretary.
