Ian Buggs

Ian Buggs holds an MBA/MPIA and currently serves as the Global Finance Director for R&D and Marketing in Heart Failure at Abbott since March 2024. Prior experience includes a role as Finance Director for Middle East & Africa at Mundipharma, and Head of Finance for Gulf at Amgen, where responsibilities included business planning and financial analysis. Ian Buggs has been a Board Member of the University of Pittsburgh Business Alumni Association, contributing to the support of academic and professional development. Previous positions also include Finance Director for Consumer Health Middle East at Pfizer, where significant integration activities took place during a joint venture with GSK. Ian Buggs possesses a strong educational background with degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh, complemented by experience in financial reporting and corporate compliance.
