Kuku Appiah

Kuku Appiah is currently the Global Medical Director of Patient Safety at Abbott Rapid Diagnostics, having previously served as the Regional Medical Director for Africa and the Director of Medical & Scientific Affairs for EEMEA. With a specialty in infectious diseases and medical devices, Kuku has held significant positions, including Country Medical Director at Pfizer and Country Director at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Between 1998 and 2002, Kuku practiced as a Specialist Physician at Krugersdorp Private Hospital and has contributed to various non-profit organizations focusing on global health and infectious disease diagnostics. Kuku’s extensive experience spans over two decades in medical affairs, clinical research, and health program implementation across multiple regions, including Africa and Eastern Europe.
