Laura Perkins

Laura Perkins is a Senior Associate Research Fellow at Abbott Vascular, where they contribute expertise in preclinical research and pathology. Previously, they served as a Director of Preclinical Research and Director of Biological Evaluation at Abbott. Their extensive background also includes experience as a Principal Research Scientist and Advisor in preclinical research at Guidant and Abbott Vascular, respectively. Laura earned a PhD in veterinary pathology from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and holds a DVM from the VA-MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. They began their research career at the USDA-ARS Southeast Poultry Research Laboratory, focusing on avian diseases.
