Mario Alphael

Mario Alphael is an experienced management professional with a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as the Country Manager for Sri Lanka and the Maldives at Abbott since November 2020, Mario has previously held leadership roles such as Country Manager at Sanofi Lanka Limited from January 2013 to October 2020, and Associate Director of Pharmaceutical Business at Sanofi Aventis Lanka Limited from March 2009 to December 2012. Prior to these positions, Mario worked as the Business Development and Commercial Excellence Manager at Glaxo SmithKline from October 2004 to February 2009. Mario holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from Manipal University, obtained between 2006 and 2008, and is a graduate of St Peters College Colombo, attending from 1978 to 1990.
