Mark Gibson

Mark Gibson has over 25 years of experience in bioprocessing and upstream research and development. Currently a Principal Scientist II and Manager of Process Development at Abbott, Mark specializes in microbial fermentation and mammalian cell culture for the production of recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies. Previous roles at Abbott include Senior Research Scientist and Senior Process Scientist, where responsibilities encompassed process support and improvement for manufacturing operations. Mark's career also includes significant leadership experience as a Large Scale Fermentation Team Leader and Fermentation Technician at Abbott Murex, overseeing large-scale fermentation processes and managing technical teams. Mark holds a Master's Degree in Applied Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Westminster.
