Matt Waldron is an accomplished engineering manager with extensive experience in product engineering and software development, currently serving as Manager of Product Engineering at Abbott since December 2021. At LivaNova, from June 2017 to December 2021, Waldron managed platform software and security, leading the internal development of testing software for implantable pulse generators, as well as serving as Senior Software Engineer architecting test software. Prior experience includes managing firmware engineering at Synaptics Incorporated, where Waldron received recognition for building strong customer partnerships, and research roles at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where significant contributions were made to biomedical projects and sensor characterization. Waldron holds a combined BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, obtained between 2003 and 2009.
