Matthew Fishler

Matthew Fishler is the Chief Engineer and Director of Product Development and a Volwiler Research Fellow at Abbott, where they lead implantable medical device research and technology development. With extensive experience in R&D strategy, intellectual property development, and clinical trials, Matthew has held senior roles at organizations such as CyberHeart, CeloNova BioSciences, and Paracor Medical. They earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and an MBA with distinction from Cornell University's S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management. Matthew's expertise spans the entire lifecycle of medical device design, from concept to clinic.
