Meiling Shang, Ph.D., is a high-performance multi-disciplinary scientist with a strong background in protein biochemistry, molecular and cell biology. Presently serving as Principal Scientist at Abbott, Meiling previously held positions at Arete Therapeutics, Genelabs Technologies, USDA-ARS, and Torrey Pines Therapeutics, where they developed biochemical assays and managed projects from feasibility to implementation. Meiling earned a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Chemistry and Biochemistry from San Jose State University and obtained a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology from The Scripps Research Institute.
