Michael Helmick

Michael Helmick is a seasoned software executive currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Abbott, a position held since the acquisition of Newyu in May 2020. With previous roles including Vice President of Professional Services and Managing Director at Newyu, they have extensive experience in software development and project management, particularly within medical device software. Michael co-owned Solution Frameworks, Inc. where they specialized in software for the electronic component resale industry, and prior to that held various leadership positions at NASA, overseeing large teams and complex projects. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental/Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
