Michael Piette

Michael Piette is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in system engineering and reliability analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Manager of System Engineering at Abbott since July 2025, Michael previously held multiple roles at Medtronic from October 2011 to June 2025, including Senior Engineering Manager and Principal System Engineer. Michael’s expertise encompasses conducting reliability tests, performing risk assessments, and developing product testing methods. Earlier in the career, Michael gained experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer II at The Aagard Group LLC, where noteworthy contributions included designing automated packaging machines and leading engineering teams. Michael began the professional journey as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Hoffman Enclosures, focusing on optimizing manufacturing processes and implementing lean methodologies. Michael holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
