Michael Tao

Michael Tao is currently a Systems Engineer at Abbott Diabetes Care, where they work in R&D on the Libre CGM product line. Prior to this role, Michael has held positions as an Extern Clinical Research Engineer at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, an Intern Biomedical Research Engineer at George Mason University and IBBR Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research, and served as a College Physics Assessment Editor at Lerner Media Global Publishing. Their experience also includes work as an ORISE Fellow at the FDA, focusing on optical coherence tomography in nerve damage assessment. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of California San Diego and a Master’s degree in Applied Bioengineering from Rice University, where they achieved a 4.0 GPA.
