Norman Moore

Norman Moore has extensive experience in the field of diagnostics, particularly for infectious diseases, currently serving as the Director of Scientific Affairs at Abbott Diagnostics Business since April 1995. With a strong academic background, including a PhD in Microbiology from the University of New Hampshire, Norman has contributed significantly to the development of diagnostic assays, holding 8 US and nearly 40 international patents. Previous roles include serving as Director of Scientific Affairs at Alere Inc. from 2007 to November 2019 and Director of R&D at Alere (formerly Binax) from 1995 to 2007, where Norman played a vital role in creating rapid diagnostic tests. Early career experiences include positions at Gene-Trak and Digene Corporation, focusing on diagnostics for the food industry and developing molecular tests for HPV.
