Philip Chiu

Philip Chiu, Ph.D., is a highly experienced Staff R&D Engineer at Abbott since April 2022, previously serving as a Senior R&D Engineer in the same company from March 2018 to April 2022, where responsibilities included leading intravascular imaging applications and engaging in regulatory affairs for FDA submissions. Philip's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on cardiovascular systems from Stony Brook University, where extensive research work was completed on mechanical circulatory support devices. Philip has also contributed as an Undergraduate and Graduate Teaching Assistant in various biomedical engineering courses at Stony Brook University. Currently, Philip serves as President of the Boston Taiwanese Boat Club Titans, a non-profit organization.
