Robert O'Meara

Robert O'Meara is currently the Division Counsel for Litigation at Abbott, a position held since 2019, and has served as Senior Counsel, Litigation at Abbott Laboratories since 2014. Prior to this, they were a Partner at Reed Smith LLP from 2007 to 2014 and at Sachnoff & Weaver, Ltd. from 2003 to 2007. O'Meara began their legal career as an Attorney at McDermott, Will & Emery from 1998 to 2003, and also served as a Law Clerk to the Hon. Lawrence P. Zatkoff at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan from 1996 to 1998. They earned their JD from the University of Illinois College of Law between 1993 and 1996, and hold a BA from Michigan State University, completed in 1992.
