Sara Hadad is a Senior Algorithm Engineer who focuses on building safe and reliable AI in healthcare. Currently at Abbott, they work on red teaming and guardrails for large language models that support patients with diabetes. Previously, as a Postdoctoral Scholar at UCSF, Sara built models for medical imaging and clinical data to enhance diagnostics and study brain cancer progression. They earned a Ph.D. in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from George Mason University and also hold a Master’s Degree in Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology.
