Simret Beraki, PhD, has extensive experience in the fields of biocompatibility, pharmacology, and toxicology through various roles in prominent organizations. Starting as a Basic Life Sciences Research Associate at Stanford University School of Medicine from 2011 to 2013, Simret transitioned to roles such as Study Director at Labcorp Drug Development and Senior Research Investigator at Rani Therapeutics. Currently serving as Biocompatibility Manager at Abbott since September 2025, Simret previously held the position of Senior Director of In Vivo Services at Pacific BioLabs, Inc., leading cross-functional teams and mentoring over 30 technical staff. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience from Karolinska Institutet and a Master’s degree in Biomolecular Chemistry from Södertörn University.
