Sofia Fardella is a Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, specializing in bioinstrumentation and medical devices. During an internship at Abbott from May to August 2023, Sofia worked as an R&D MN-tern in Electrophysiology, contributing to the development of innovative technology for the EnSite X system, creating MATLAB scripts for data visualization, and designing prototypes for wet lab studies. Previously, Sofia served as an R&D Engineer I, optimizing algorithms for impedance systems and conducting data analysis for ablation catheter performance. Additional work experience includes positions as a server assistant at Harbor House - A Bartolotta Restaurant and as a volunteer summer camp counselor at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center.
