Soya Gamsey

Soya Gamsey is an accomplished professional in the field of chemistry and sensor development. Currently serving as the Head of Glucose Sensor Chemistry at Abbott since April 2022, Soya previously held the position of Vice President of Chemistry and Sensor Development at Profusa from 2011 to 2022, where innovative developments in implantable biosensors were spearheaded. With earlier roles including Director of Sensor Development at Glumetrics, Inc., and various positions at Geron, Soya has extensive experience in developing advanced glucose sensing technologies and conducting regulatory studies. An expert in organic chemistry, Soya holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a B.A. in Chemistry from Reed College.
