Stephen Wandro, PhD, is a Senior Scientist in Bioinformatics at Abbott since August 2024. Prior to this role, Stephen served as a Senior Scientist in Computational Biology at Micronoma from September 2020 to May 2024 and conducted postdoctoral research at the Center for Microbiome Innovation at UC San Diego from July 2019 to September 2020. Earlier experience includes a PhD researcher position at UC Irvine from September 2014 to June 2019, where Stephen focused on research in the Whiteson Lab, a Laboratory Helper role at UCLA from January 2012 to August 2014, contributing to a project on lentiviral vectors for ADA linked SCID, and working as a Student Archivist at Stanford University Hoover Archives in summer 2012.
