Steve Burdette

Steve Burdette is a Human Factors Engineering professional with a focus on medical device manufacturing and over twenty years of experience in the field. Currently, Steve serves as the Lead Human Factors Research Engineer at Abbott, following a successful tenure as Director of UX Research at Optum, where they led a team of over 30 researchers and designers. Prior experiences include notable roles at Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, Ceridian, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, shaping their expertise in user experience and usability. Steve holds a Master’s degree in Liberal Studies and multiple undergraduate degrees from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
