Tao Peng

Tao Peng is currently the R&D Director at Abbott Diabetes Care, a position held since 2021. Prior to this role, Tao served in various engineering and management positions, including Senior Manager of R&D at Edwards Lifesciences, where they led the development of critical care monitoring algorithms. They also worked as Associate Director of R&D at Alcon, managing a team focused on software solutions for cataract diagnostics. Tao began their career as a Software Engineer at Automated Precision Inc. and has contributed to cutting-edge projects in high-precision measurement and medical technology across multiple organizations. Tao earned both a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Mechanics from Tsinghua University.
