Tom Waddell

Tom Waddell, PhD, MBA, is a retired Staff Scientist who held a prominent position at Abbott from 2018 to the present. They previously served as Director of Research and Development at Pro-Lab Diagnostics and held various roles, including Manager of Research and Development at Abbott Point of Care and Vice President of Product Development at Xagenic Inc. Tom also has experience as a Research Scientist at the Public Health Agency of Canada and as a Visiting Scientist at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. They earned an MBA from Queen's University, a Master of Science in Clinical Biochemistry from the University of Toronto, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Guelph.
