Venu Ambati

Venu Ambati currently serves as Vice President and Managing Director of Abbott India Ltd., overseeing the pharmaceuticals business across India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bhutan since September 2016. Prior to this, Venu held multiple senior leadership positions at GSK from October 1999 to September 2015, including Vice President & General Manager for Consumer Healthcare in Asia and the Middle East, where regional management led to significant sales and profit growth. Venu's earlier roles included Sales Director responsibilities for various markets, encompassing the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East. Venu holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology.
