Andy Davis is a Senior Scientist I in Glucose Sensor Chemistry R&D at Abbott since August 2025. Previously, Andy served as a PhD candidate in the Pluth Lab at the University of Oregon, specializing in the reactivities and stabilities of protic small molecule bioregulators, along with roles as a Major's Track Organic Lab Teaching Assistant and Chemical Biology Teaching Assistant from January 2023 to March 2023. Andy's earlier experience includes various teaching assistant positions at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, focusing on General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry labs, as well as a Chemical Safety role ensuring compliance with lab protocols. Undergraduate research was conducted in Dr. Derik Frantz's Lab, exploring an unusual intramolecular Diels-Alder reaction. Andy's academic journey includes education at the University of Oregon from 2020 to 2025.
