Eli Penn

Eli Penn, MD, FASGE, is a highly experienced gastroenterologist currently serving as a Locums Gastroenterologist with LONE SURVIVOR LLC since February 2025 and operates as a freelance gastroenterologist. With board certification in Gastroenterology and a strong focus on advanced endoscopic procedures, Eli specializes in complex conditions including Barrett's Esophagus, Crohn's Disease, and pancreatic conditions. Previous roles include serving as an Interventional Gastroenterologist at Beaufort Memorial Health and contributing to the Ehlers-Danlos Center at the Medical University of South Carolina. Eli has extensive teaching experience as an Associate Professor of Medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine and has held various consultancy positions, including with AbbVie and EndoGastric Solutions. Following a serious neurological injury, Eli is currently on medical leave but remains active in professional speaking engagements and pursuing a book project.
