Eric Karran is the founder of Vannin Neuropharma Consulting Ltd. and serves as a visiting professor in the Department of Neurodegenerative Diseases at University College London. Currently, they are the Vice President and Distinguished Research Fellow at AbbVie, overseeing the Neuroscience Discovery operation focused on neurodegenerative diseases. Karran has previously held leadership roles at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Eli Lilly and Company, and Johnson and Johnson, where they managed diverse teams in drug discovery and research related to Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. They earned a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Hertfordshire, following an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of York.
