Jonathon Sedgwick

Jonathon Sedgwick is an accomplished executive in the field of scientific research, with extensive experience in leadership roles across major pharmaceutical companies. At AbbVie, from September 2021 to February 2024, Jonathon served as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Discovery Research. Prior to AbbVie, Jonathon was with Boehringer Ingelheim, where responsibilities included leading the global Cancer Immunology & Immune Modulation Discovery Research from November 2015 to August 2021. Earlier in Jonathon's career, tenure at Eli Lilly and Company from January 2004 to September 2015 included various senior roles, such as Distinguished Fellow and Chief Scientific Officer. Jonathon's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from The University of Western Australia and postdoctoral education in Immunology from the University of Oxford.
