Michael Schrimpf possesses extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and research industries, having held various leadership roles at AbbVie from July 2022 to September 2013, including Research Fellow, Senior Group Leader, and Senior Principal Research Scientist. Prior to AbbVie, Michael worked at Abbott as a Senior Group Leader and Senior Research Chemist from December 2008 to December 2012. Michael began his academic career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University under the mentorship of Professor Yoshito Kishi from September 1995 to April 1998. Michael earned a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison between 1989 and 1995 and completed a B.S. in Chemistry through the Honors Program at the University of Notre Dame from 1985 to 1989.
