Patrick McGovern, PE, PMP is an experienced director in program management with a strong background in the development and commercial support of complex product systems. Currently serving as Director of Program Management at AbbVie since August 2017, McGovern is responsible for the development of combination products. Previously, McGovern held the role of Director of Program Management at Pfizer, overseeing an infusion system platform, and served as Senior Marketing Manager and Senior Program Manager at Hospira, focusing on ambulatory and pain management infusion pump platforms. Earlier career experience includes leadership positions at Continental Automotive Systems and Motorola, managing teams in the development of electronic products and automotive electronics. McGovern holds an MBA in General Management from Gies College of Business - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university.
