Peer Schmidt

Peer Schmidt has extensive experience in quality systems and assurance, currently serving as Director of Global Quality Systems at AbbVie since October 2017, following a role as Senior Manager in the same department. Prior to this, Peer Schmidt held several senior management positions at AbbVie, focusing on CMC QA and Device QA from 2011 to 2017. Peer Schmidt's career began at Abbott, where responsibilities included Head of Quality Assurance for Abbott Biotechnology Deutschland and Quality Assurance Manager from 2004 to 2011. Earlier roles included Head of Customer Lab at Febit, Inc., Project Management Manager at Memorec Stoffel GmbH, and Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Psychiatry. Peer Schmidt holds a Diplom-Biologe degree from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and has further academic experience from The University of Edinburgh and The University of Bonn.
