Dr. Sharlene Brown is the Associate Director of Research and Development Program Management at AbbVie, supporting Biological Science at Allergan Aesthetics. Dr. Brown's research focuses on functional molecular relationships in the central nervous system and engineering interventional biotechnologies. They completed a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where key contributions included identifying a novel druggable peptide and establishing molecular dissection models. With nearly two decades of experience in raising capital for STEM organizations and developing collaborative partnerships, Dr. Brown also founded Dr. Bird Consulting, LLC and has held leadership roles in various committees within the biotechnology field.
