Steve Halaby

Steve Halaby, Ph.D., is a passionate and innovative biochemist currently serving as a Senior Scientist II at AbbVie. They hold a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Cornell University and a Master's degree from California State University, Los Angeles. Their diverse experience includes roles as a Process Development Scientist at Amgen and a Postdoctoral Researcher at UCLA, where they focused on drug product process development and lipid nanoparticle-protein interactions. Before their scientific career, Steve held senior leadership positions in the film exhibition industry. Additionally, they are a strong advocate for Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, actively participating in various committees and discussions related to science funding and education.
