Vanessa D. has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Vanessa started their career as a Software Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where they worked as an intern, focusing on enhancing OS-related debugging tools and analyzing the storage system's I/O path. Vanessa then joined Revive Education, Inc. as a Student Software Developer, collaborating in a startup environment to develop a social platform for higher education. At Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, they served as a Technical Intern, contributing to the development of a Metabolomics database application and developing a command-line tool for scientific software projects. Vanessa also gained experience as a Teaching/Grading Assistant at Gonzaga University, where they provided student assistance and graded assignments. Vanessa took on the role of Peer Ambassador, mentoring ESL students, facilitating workshops, and performing various administrative tasks. At etailz, Inc., they served as a Software Engineer, where they designed and built serverless applications using AWS services, automated deployment pipelines, and developed new features for existing software applications. Vanessa later moved on to TUNE, where they worked as a Software Development Engineer, developing and testing APIs, designing and developing automated scheduled jobs, and optimizing network API endpoints. Most recently, Vanessa joined ENGIE Impact as a Software Engineer, collaborating with stakeholders to design and develop single-page applications using Angular and React, and maintaining multiple software applications using Node.
