Michael Gonzalez has extensive experience in health services and emergency response, currently serving as a Direct Support Professional at Cardnial Hayes and as a Residential Coach at Abilities First, Inc. since December 2015. Additionally, Michael has volunteered as Fire Police with the Arlington Fire District, providing traffic control at emergency scenes. Previous roles include registrar and console operator at St. Francis Hospital and registrar at both Westchester Medical Center and Lawrence Hospital, focusing on patient registration and information management. Michael is pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems at Dutchess Community College, having also studied at ITT Tech Online and obtained a GED through Opportunity for Continuing.

ABILITIES FIRST Enriching the Lives of Children and Adults in Our Communities Founded in 1962, Abilities First is a not-for-profit organization serving the needs of the community, as well as those with developmental disabilities, from pre-school through adulthood. Abilities First has had a long-term commitment of providing a cohesive culture of compassion, empowerment and respect for people with a variety of disabilities through educational, vocational and habilitation services. It presently serves over 1,200 children and adults throughout the Hudson Valley region of New York State.
