Ability Agriculture is a community-driven initiative dedicated to increasing awareness, representation, and opportunities for people with disabilities in the Australian agricultural sector.

Founded on the belief that agriculture should be accessible to all, our work focuses on building disability confidence across the industry by sharing lived experiences, providing educational resources, and advocating for inclusive employment and innovation.

Through webinars, industry collaborations, and digital resources, we work alongside farmers, agribusinesses, and government bodies to break down barriers and create a more inclusive future in agriculture. Our initiatives include:

✔ Ability Agricheck – A framework helping agricultural shows and events become more transparent and accessible for people with disabilities.
✔Resources tailored for agriculture – Developing toolkits for farmers and agribusinesses on inclusive employment, funding pathways (NDIS, EAF, JobAccess), and workplace modifications.
✔ Ability Agriculture Webinars & Events – Bringing together industry leaders, people with disabilities, and experts to share knowledge and drive change.
✔ Advocacy & Storytelling – Sharing the stories of farmers and agricultural professionals with disabilities to increase visibility and representation.
✔ Industry Collaboration – Partnering with leading agricultural organisations, including AgVic, SkyKelpie, and more, to embed inclusivity across the sector.

With over 80% of our board members having lived experience with disability, we are committed to ensuring that people with disabilities have equal opportunities to thrive in agriculture.
